I found that a small table next to the tub fit my purposes better. HOWEVER, this item provided an excellent solution for the utility tub in my studio. Especially since it drains. I was concerned that a shower caddy may not work for my tub because the inner tub-edge is slightly lower than the outer, so although maybe not as attractive, I knew I couldn't really go with a bamboo version but the bamboo trays don't adjust. I am so very happy with this style. Plastic, yes, but very sturdy, and it expands so you can get an exact fit to the sides of your tub. Very helpful for keeping the tray secure, is the wonderful added bonus of having rubber pads on the part of the shelf that rests on the edge of the tub. Maybe not as elegant as the shelves in wood or bamboo, but sturdy, very nice looking, and I just love those side grips that keep the shelf stable and in place!
