I originally looked into a GPS dog collar for my Mom and her wanderlust pup Possum. She lives in rural Missouri, so I was concerned whether or not the GPS signal would work where she was. Tractive knows where her rascal of a dog is at any given moment. Mom says she has the most fun looking at the 'history' map and seeing the trail of all the places Possum has been throughout the day. After seeing how well it worked in MO, I didn't hesitate to get one for my own dog in rural northwest Wisconsin. Again, the GPS signal picks up, is spot on accurate, and fast. I can't say how well it will work in all rural places, but for us, who can't always keep a cell phone signal, it works great.

It's a little annoying having to remove the tracker from our dog's collar to charge it but push messages let us know when it is down to 10% charge. The battery charging cord is magnetic and a little funky requiring some jacking around to get the charging light to go on. Considering the design constraints, it is light, apparently durable, and overall pretty ez to set up and it works.

Great product just moved onto 20 acre farm and I can keep track of both my dogs. My dogs came from a small fenced yard. So its nice to be able to make sure they don't wander off property with virtual fence .The only thing is I would like it to have interchangeable batteries. So I could just swap batteries instead of having to remove units and charge at night. Sometimes I forget to charge at night cause it lasts for a few days.

This tracker was extremely easy to set up, quick to charge, and very durable. We took her on a hike that involved running around the forest, splashing through the creek, etc, and it never glitched. The positioning data is accurate. The device itself is slim and low-profile, unlike some of the bigger, clunky ones I've seen. My dog didn't even notice that she was wearing it.

Tractive kept winning over and over. I purchased one for each of my dogs. I live in VERY remote SW Oregon (US) on the coast, about 7 miles from the California border. I was doubtful that the GPS would work as we struggle to even get consistent cell service up here. Tractive worked right out of the box! Set up was super easy! So we have had the Tractive GPS Dog tracker for 10 days now and we are very happy with this product. We live on 5 acres out in the country with farmland all around us. We also have a woods behind our property. Our dogs (1 year old German Shepard sisters) would disappear and always some back but left us concerned about where they were going. The tracker has provided peace of mind that they are wandering off into the 40-acre soy bean field right next to our house and into the woods behind us. They have not crossed the road (trained not go near it). The ability to live track plus see a 24 hour history of where they have been and how many miles they have traveled has been a bonus. We only track one of them since they always travel together. We love this product and recommend it highly.

This makes me feel safe and secure. It's absolutely worth the investment. You don't have to pay for it a year upfront you can pay for it monthly. If you don't get this GPS tracker please get some kind of tracker for your pet. It's so worth the investment. The subscription I pay is 9 a month for my pet and it gives me peace of mind knowing I always know where my cats are. I've had the one for Little Mama for 8 months now.

Snap it on the collar, charge about once a week, go "live" on the virtual map and bingo, the dog icon turns red when you are within several feet of the elusive doggo. You can always check the battery strength before you go out, by going into a live search mode, that way you can rest assured you will find the pup. Excellent addition to my dog's wares! Thank you Tractive. Yes, there is a subscription service, but it's a trade off. I found it well worth the cost.

Our dog stays close....unless there's a rodent to chase. We purchased the tractive to find her when the chase is on.
