I wasn't sure a spring clip type would work as well, but I have been surprised and delighted to use this very affordable alternative to the top of the line models. It is faster to apply and change and keeps the whole usable range very close to perfectly tuned as it is used, which is exactly what I had hoped for.

The only complaint I would have is that they are tensioned perhaps more than is necessary, not enough to damage wood but still its a bit aggressive. Its like it is tensioned to be a 12-string capo.
