This is probably one of the best additions to the kitchen that we've made in some time. It has made cutting, shredding, slicing many different vegetables and fruits easy to do for salads and other uses in minimal time. It works as advertised and is easy to clean up. We especially like that all of the inner parts go into the dishwasher and clean up very nicely. Sorry that we did not add this to our kitchen utensils some time ago - we could have saved ourselves a lot of prep time (and frustration) over a number of years, but at least we have it now!! Well worth the purchase.

I initially saw this on a You tube video. I was intrigued and thought it might be worth a try since my current use of a box grater often ended up with skinned knuckles for my effort. I tried it out on an 8 oz block of cheese. It did the job in less than a minute! So much healthier than pre-grated cheese with all the additives. Clean up was just as simple and quick! I next tried some of the other blades {cones} on vegetables. I had the same fantastic results!!! I'm tempted to purchase another just so I'll have a back up after I wear this one out. I will say that the suction on the base didn't work very well on my butcher block island , but worked perfectly on my granite countertop. It's very quickly becoming one of favorite kitchen gadgets that I couldn't live without!

I ordered this shredder befor i saw reviews. I was skeptical but optimistic. I ordered this after breaking a couple of plastic rotary shredders very quickily. It seems sturdy, it suctioned to my counter securely, the shredding cones are thicker than what i had previously and the handle screws on the end of cone so it will not fall off. I shredded a small block of pepper jack in less that a minute, cleaned easily overall very happy with my purchase. I bought it to shred cheese and that is what recomendation is for. If i was going to chop/shred vegetables i would probably use my food processor for that.
