For the price, I have been pleasantly impressed. Depending on how much salad you eat at a time will depend on how many servings this bowl will prepare for you. I think it is the perfect size for a couple who enjoys a fair amount of salad. That being said, I have used the bowl to prepare a salad for four people. My kids eat salad, but not a whole lot so it still works out perfectly for us. If you cut it exactly as directed (cut once, then turn and cut again) the pieces of lettuce get fairly small so if for some reason you don't like your salad that way I'm sure you could adjust and maybe cut every other opening instead.
