My 18-year-old Mercedes has a retractable hardtop, so there is no space for a spare tire - not even a "donut". I don't have, or want, expensive run-flat tires, so every time I drive I run the risk of getting stranded if there's a problem. This wireless tire pressure kit is perfect - it continuously shows show me that all four tires are correctly inflated at all times, and will issue an audible warning if any tire's pressure drops below a preset alarm level. That will let me correct the problem before it becomes worse. I carry a small puncture-repair kit and a small 12-volt compressor, so this device will warn me about a leak in time to stop and repair it and re-inflate the tire before the tire gets ruined. I love this technology, and the price is an amazing bargain for what you get.

Worked for over a month off the initial charge and sitting in my door pocket without getting any solar. Put it up on the dash and the solar cell has extended the operating time that I haven't had to charge again yet. The weather has been all cloudy too with maybe only a couple days of sun in the past several weeks. Works good.Update: I've had it several months now on the dash and have not had to plug it in to charge yet. The little sticker labels on the valve stems haven't survived the weather, but not a big deal.I've attached a scanned copy of the manual.

It does take two or three minutes for the display to update all tires in the morning. It appears to remember the settings from when it was parked and the sensors do not update continuously. The sensors do seem to update more frequently when there is a change in air pressure and are accurate to within one PSI. My only complaint is the large size of the external sensors. It seems like those could have been made smaller. The vibration sensor on-off display function works great. The display turns on as soon as I open the door. I am considering getting a second system for our 2005 Polaris side-by-side.
